UPPSC stands for Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission.
The full form of PCS is Provincial Civil Service (PCS).
It is the rightful authority to conduct the state services’ examination to recruit candidates for Group A and Group B services of the UP state government.

To be eligible for the UPPSC PCS in 2023, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Age: 21 to 40 years

Main Syllabus

Paper 1

  • General Hindi- Vilom Shabd, Muhavrein & Lokoktiyaan, Ashuddhiyaan, Anek ke ek shabd, Patra Lekhan, Taar lekhan, others.

Paper 2

Essay- Students have to write three essays in about 700 words each in this paper, choosing one topic from each of the three sections.

  • Section-A: Literature and Culture/ Social Sphere/ Political Sphere.
  • Section-B: Science, Environment, and Technology/ Economic Sphere/ Agriculture, Industry, and Trade.
  • Section-C: National and International Events/ National Calamities- Earthquake, Landslide, others/ National Development Programs and Projects.
