About WII
The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is an autonomous natural resource service institution established in 1982 under the Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change, Government of India.WII carries out wildlife research in areas of study like Biodiversity, Endangered Species, Wildlife Policy, Wildlife Management, Wildlife Forensics, Spatial Modeling, Ecodevelopment, Ecotoxicology, Habitat Ecology, and Climate Change. WII has a research facility that includes Forensics, Remote Sensing, and GIS, Laboratory, Herbarium, and an Electronic Library.
The founder director was V. B. Saharia while the first Director was Hemendra Singh Panwar who remained the director from 1985 to 1994. Trained personnel from WII have contributed to studying and protecting wildlife in India. The national tiger census or the All India Tiger Estimation, is done by WII along with NTCA and state forest departments.

Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)
- The question paper (bilingual- in English and Hindi) will have a total of 100 marks for multiple choice questions (MCQ) carrying 100 multiple
choice questions (MCQ) for the post of Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) at the level of 10th standard/High School.
Assistant Grade – III
- The question paper (bilingual- in English and Hindi) will have a total of 60 marks multiple choice questions (MCQ) carrying 60 multiple choice questions (MCQ) for the post of Assistant Grade III at the level of 12th standard/Intermediate.
Technician
- The question paper (bilingual- in English and Hindi) will have a total of 100 marks for multiple choice questions (MCQ) carrying 100 multiple choice questions (MCQ) at the level of 12th standard/intermediate.
Technical Assistant (Field), Assistant Director
- The question paper (bilingual- in English and Hindi) will have a total of 70 marks multiple choice questions (MCQ) carrying 70 multiple choice questions (MCQ) and 30 marks for an essay in English for the post of Technical Assistant (Field), Assistant Director at the level of Graduation.

- Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 700/- (Rs. 500/- Application fee + Rs. 200/- Processing fee) through Demand Draft
or Pay order from any nationalized bank drawn in favor of the Director, Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun.
