V.O. Chidambaranar Port in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu is one of India’s 12 major ports, declared on 11 July 1974. It’s the second-largest port in Tamil Nadu and the third-largest container terminal in the country. The port handles traffic to USA, China, Europe, Sri Lanka, and Mediterranean countries.
