UPSC NDA & NA Exam (I) 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or an equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
• For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: 12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or an equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Note: Candidates appearing for the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply.

Physical Standards:

• Candidates must meet the physical standards required for admission to the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I), 2025.
• A candidate who has resigned or withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any of the training academies of the Armed Forces is not eligible to apply.

Age Limit:

• Only unmarried male/female candidates born between 02 July 2006 and 01 July 2009 are eligible.

UPSC NDA & NA Exam (I) 2025 Selection Process

The selection process consists of:

• Written Examination: Candidates must appear for the written examination based on General Ability Test (GAT) and Mathematics.
• SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an SSB interview, which includes psychological and physical tests.
• Final Selection: Based on the performance in the written examination and the SSB interview.

Application Fees for NDA (I) 2025:

• For Others (General, OBC, EWS): Rs. 100/-
• Exemptions: SC/ST, Female candidates, and Wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs are exempted from the application fee.

Mode of Payment:

• The fee can be paid through the following methods:
  • SBI Branch: By cash at any branch of SBI.
  • Online Payment: Using Visa/Master/Rupay Credit/Debit Card, UPI Payment, or Internet banking of any bank.

UPSC NDA & NA Exam (I) 2025 Application Process

1. Online Registration: Candidates must register online at the UPSC official website: upsconline.gov.in.
   • Registration is required only once in a lifetime and can be done anytime throughout the year.
   • If already registered, candidates can directly proceed to fill out the online application for the examination.
