UPSC Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification

• Civil Service (CSE): Candidates must possess a graduate degree from a recognized university or institution
• Indian Forest Services (IFS): Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the specified subjects or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry, or Engineering from a recognized university.

Age Limit

• Candidates must be aged between 21 and 32 as of August 1, 2024.

Nationality

• Candidates for CSE and IFS  must be Indian citizens.
• Candidates for other services can be citizens of India, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugees arriving before January 1, 1962, or persons of Indian origin migrating from specific countries with the intention of permanent settlement in India.

UPSC Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

The UPSC aspirants must clear three phases for UPSC CSE & IFS vacancies: Preliminary Exam (Phase 1), main exam (Phase 2), and Interview Round (Phase 3). The final merit list will be based on marks obtained in Phases 2 & 3.

UPSC Recruitment 2024 Application Fee

Candidates, except Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates, must pay a fee of Rs. 100/-, payable through SBI Branch, Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card, or SBI Internet Banking. Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted from the fee.
