TNSTC – Madurai Region (Madurai, Dindigul, Virudhunagar) and TNSTC – Kumbakonam Region (Kumbakonam, Nagapattinam, Trichy, Karur, Karaikudi & Pudukkottai), along with MTC, Chennai, is inviting online applications from eligible Graduate and Diploma holders in Engineering (passed during 2020, 2021, 2022 & 2023), hailing from Tamil Nadu, for a one-year Apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973. TNSTC aims to fill 688 Apprentice positions through this recruitment drive, with the flexibility to adjust the number of vacancies based on their needs. TNSTC Recruitment 2024 Education Qualification

1. Category – I Graduate Apprentices:

• A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Regular – Full time) with First Class granted by a Statutory University in a relevant discipline.
• A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Regular – Full-time) with First Class granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in a relevant discipline.
• Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to the above.

1. Category – II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:

• A Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Regular – Full-time) granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in a relevant discipline.
• A Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Regular – Full-time) granted by a University in a relevant discipline.
• A Diploma in Engineering and Technology is granted by an institution recognized by the state or central government as equivalent to the above.

1. Category – III Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices:

• A Degree in Arts / Science / Commerce / Humanities such as BA / B.Sc., / B.Com / BBA / BBM / BCA, etc., (Regular – Full-time) granted by a Statutory University / Deemed University in a relevant discipline.

These criteria outline the educational qualifications required for each category of apprenticeship offered by TNSTC.

Note: Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973, and/or have one year or more experience are not eligible to apply.

TNSTC Recruitment 2024 Duration Of training

The duration of Apprenticeship training will be one year as per Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.

TNSTC Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

Candidates for TNSTC apprenticeship are shortlisted based on marks obtained in their qualifying exams, notified via email, and required to attend certificate verification at TNSTC, Trichy for final selection.

The list of shortlisted candidates shall be published on the website: http://www.boat-srp.com under the Organized Events & News Section on the home page.

TNSTC Recruitment 2024 Stipend

The monthly stipend for Graduate Apprentices is Rs. 9000/- and for Diploma (Technician) Apprentices is Rs. 8000/-.

1. Visit https://nats.education.gov.in.
2. Log in using your registered email ID and new password.
3. Complete the application form and generate a unique 12-digit Enrollment number.
4. Apply for apprenticeships by selecting the desired vacancies under “Apply against advertised vacancies”.

Verify your application status as “applied” after submission

• For Category ‘B’ applicants already enrolled in the new National Web Portal (www.nats.education.gov.in):

1. Log in with your email ID and password.
2. Navigate to “Apply against advertised vacancies”.
