The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization of government in India that is responsible for recruiting staff for various posts across different ministries, departments, subordinate offices, and agencies. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the recruitment of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ (Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted) and Stenographer Grade ‘D’ (Group ‘C’). The official notification was made on July 26, 2024, and online registration began on the same day. The application date is August 17th, 2024. There are now 2006 tentative positions available.

Nationality/Citizenship:

• Eligible: Indian citizens, subjects of Nepal/Bhutan, or Indian-origin migrants from specific countries.
• Certificate Required: An eligibility certificate from the Government of India is needed for non-Indian citizens.

Age Limit (as of 01.08.2024):

• Grade ‘C’: 18 to 30 years (DOB: 02.08.1994 – 01.08.2006)
• Grade ‘D’: 18 to 27 years (DOB: 02.08.1997 – 01.08.2006)

Educational Qualification:

• Requirement: Passed 12th standard or equivalent by 17.08.2024.

SSC Recruitment 2024 Salary

The SSC Stenographers Salary 2024 is as follows:

• Grade C: ₹51,000 per month
• Grade D: ₹36,000 per month

Salaries are determined according to the 7th Pay Commission.

• Note: Candidates opting for Hindi will need to learn English Stenography and vice versa after appointment, as per the functional requirements. SSC Recruitment 2024 Application Fee

• Amount: ₹100
• Exemptions: Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and ESM candidates are exempt from the fee.
• Payment Methods: BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit cards.
• Payment Deadline: Up to 18.08.2024 (23:00 hours).
• Fee Status: Ensure payment is reflected on SSC’s site. Incomplete applications due to non-payment will be rejected.
• Refund Policy: The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

SSC Recruitment 2024 Application Process

• Applications must be submitted online at ssc.gov.in.
• Generate One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new website if not done previously.
• No pre-existing photograph is required; a live photo will be captured during the application.
• Ensure good lighting, a plain background, and proper positioning for the live photo.
• Follow instructions strictly for photograph quality; pre-existing photos are not acceptable.
• Upload scanned signature in JPEG/JPG format (10 to 20 KB) with dimensions 6.0 cm x 2.0 cm.
• Online application submission deadline is 17-08-2024 (23:00).
• Submit applications early to avoid last-minute issues due to website traffic.
• The Commission is not responsible for issues arising from submission failures.
