SSC MTS Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification

To be eligible to apply for the SSC MTS 2024 Exam, a candidate must have passed Matriculation (10th class) or its equivalent exam from a recognized State Board, University, or Institute.

Age Limit

The crucial date for age reckoning is fixed as 01-08-2024 by DoP&T OM No. 14017/70/87-Estt provisions.(RR) dated 14-07-1988. The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:

• MTS: 18-25 years (i.e., candidates born not before 02.08.1999 and not later than 01.08.2006).
• Havaldar in CBIC and CBN, Department of Revenue, and a few posts of MTS in various departments: 18-27 years (i.e., candidates born not before 02.08.1997 and not later than 01.08.2006).

Nationality

To be eligible for the SSC MTS 2024 exam, a candidate must be one of the following:

1. Citizen of India, or
2. The subject of Nepal, or
3. The subject of Bhutan, or
4. Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam

Candidates belonging to categories (b), (c), and (d) above must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India. Such candidates may be admitted to the examination. Still, the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to them by the Government of India.

SSC MTS Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

Eligible candidates for SSC Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) recruitment will be shortlisted based on the following stages:

1. Stage 1: Paper-1 (Objective)
   • This is a computer-based test comprising multiple-choice questions.
2. Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST)
   • Applicable only for the post of Havaldar.
   • Candidates need to meet specific physical standards and pass efficiency tests.

Candidates must qualify in each stage with marks above the announced cut-off.

SSC MTS Recruitment 2024 Salary

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct a competitive examination for the recruitment of Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) in Pay Band-1 (Rs 5200-20200) + Grade Pay Rs 1800, which is revised to Pay Level-1 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC. This is a General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India across different States/ Union Territories. According to the 7th pay commission, the in-hand SSC MTS salary ranges from Rs 18,000 to Rs 22,000 per month, depending on the job post and city allocated.

SSC MTS Recruitment 2024 Application Fee

The application fee for SSC MTS 2024 is Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only). Here are some important points regarding the fee payment:

1. Exemption: Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of the fee.
2. Payment Modes: The fee can be paid only through online payment modes such as BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit card.
3. Payment Deadline: Candidates can pay the fee online up to 01-08-2024 (2300 hrs).
4. Incomplete Applications: If the fee is not received by SSC, the status of the Application Form will be marked as ‘Incomplete’. Such incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.
