About SSC

The Government of India uses the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) as an organization to hire people for a range of positions in its ministries, departments, and lower-level organizations and agencies.
The chairman, two members, and a secretary who also serves as the examination controller make up this commission, which is an associated office of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). His position is comparable to that of an additional secretary in the Indian government.
Out of the 22 official languages of the Indian Republic, Urdu, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Konkani, Meitei (Manipuri), Marathi, Odia, and Punjabi will be tested in the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination for the first time by the SSC in addition to Hindi and English.

SSC GD Recruitment 2024

The Staff Selection Commission of India holds the SSC GD Constable Exam annually as a national level examination to choose candidates for the General Duty position of Constables (GD) in the BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, AR, SSF, and NCB. SSC GD Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for GD Constable (BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSF, SSB, and riflemen) must have passed 10th class or equivalent from a recognized board.

SSC GD Age Limit (as on 01/01/2025)

Candidate is required to be between 18 to 23 years in order to be eligible for the SSC GD 2024-25 Exam. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02-01-2002 and later than 01-01-2007. Age relaxation is given to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per the government rules.

SSC GD Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

The entire recruitment process of SSC GD 2024-25 will be completed in four stages: Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and at the last the Medical Test. The candidates will be shortlisted for SSC GD Constable posts in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), NIA, SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau. through the following stages-

Stage 1- Written examination (Computer Based)

Stage 2- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Stage 3- Physical Standard Test (PST)

Stage 4- Medical Test

After the medical test, the candidates shortlisted will have to appear for document verification.

SSC GD Recruitment 2024 Salary

Pay Level -1 (Rs 18,000 to 56,900) for the post of Sepoy in NCB and Pay Level – 3 (₹21,700/- to ₹ 69,100/-) for all other posts.

SSC GD Recruitment 2024 How to apply?

Candidates wishing to apply for this exam must generate a One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC website (https://ssc.gov.in), as the OTR from the old website (https://ssc.nic.in) will not work. Once registered, candidates can fill out the Online Application Form, and the OTR will be valid for future exams.

• Applications must be submitted online only through https://ssc.gov.in. Detailed instructions for OTR and application submission are in Annexure-I & IA.
• A live photograph must be taken while filling out the application using a computer or mobile phone camera. Follow these guidelines for the photo:
  1. Find a well-lit area with a plain background.
  2. Ensure the camera is at eye level.
  3. Position your face fully within the red rectangle on the screen.
  4. No cap, mask, spectacles, or earphones should be worn.
• The photograph must be clear, without a cap or spectacles, and match the appearance for the exam. Uploading a pre-existing photograph will result in rejection.
• Scanned signature must be uploaded in .JPEG/.JPG format (10-20 KB), with specific dimensions (6.0 cm x 2.0 cm). Miniature or blurred signatures will be rejected.
• Last date for submission is 14.10.2024 (23:00). Candidates should apply early to avoid potential website issues due to high traffic.
• Ensure all details, including the photograph and signature, meet the requirements before final submission. Keep a copy of the final submitted form for future reference.
