SBI Recruitment2024 Eligibility Criteria

Essential Academic Qualifications (As on 31.12.2024):

1. Graduation Requirement:
   • Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
   • Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) holders must ensure their passing date is on or before 31.12.2024.
2. Final Year Students:
   • Candidates in the final year/semester of their graduation can apply provisionally, but they must produce proof of passing the graduation examination on or before 31.12.2024.
3. Date of Passing:
   • The date of passing will be taken as the date mentioned on the marksheet/certificate or provisional certificate issued by the University/Institute.
   • If the result is posted on the University/Institute’s website, a certificate from the appropriate authority stating the result’s posting date will suffice.
4. Ex-servicemen Eligibility:
   • Matriculate ex-servicemen with the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificates in the Navy/Air Force after at least 15 years of service are eligible.
   • Such certificates must be dated on or before 31.12.2024.

Age Limit (As on 01.04.2024):

• Minimum Age: 20 years.
• Maximum Age: 28 years.
• Date of Birth Range: Candidates must be born between 02.04.1996 and 01.04.2004 (both days inclusive).

SBI Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

Selection Process for SBI Clerk (Junior Associates) 2024

The selection for the Clerical Cadre (Junior Associates) position involves two phases of examinations:

1. SBI Clerk Prelims Examination

• This is the initial screening phase.
• Candidates must qualify this round to progress to the Main Examination.

2. SBI Clerk Mains Examination

• This is the decisive phase for the final selection.
• Only candidates who pass the Prelims are eligible to appear for the Mains.
• Final selection is based on performance in the Mains Exam.

Important Notes

• No Transfer Policy:
  • Candidates recruited as Junior Associates are not eligible for Inter-Circle or Inter-State transfers.
  • Postings will be within the selected Circle.
• Weightage for Trained Apprentices:
  • SBI-trained apprentices will receive bonus marks in the Main Examination.
  • Bonus: 2.5% of the maximum marks (i.e., 5 marks out of 200) will be added to their score.

Final Appointment:

Candidates who successfully clear both the Prelims and Mains will receive their appointment letters for the Clerical Cadre position in SBI.

Pay Scale:

• Starting Basic Pay: Rs. 26,730/- (Rs. 24,050/- with two advance increments for graduates).

Emoluments:

• Total Starting Salary: Approximately Rs. 46,000/- per month (inclusive of DA, allowances, and increments) in metro cities like Mumbai.
• Allowance Variability: May differ depending on the posting location.
• Perquisites and Benefits:
  • Reimbursement of various allowances.
  • Provident Fund and Pension under the New Pension Scheme (Defined Contribution Benefit).
  • Medical benefits.
  • Leave-Fare concessions.
  • Other facilities as per the bank’s policies.

Probation Period:

• Duration: Minimum 6 months.
• Requirements:
  • Completion of prescribed e-lessons during probation.
  • Confirmation is contingent upon completing these lessons; failure to do so may result in an extension of the probation period.
• Performance Evaluation:
  • Before the end of probation, performance will be assessed.
  • If performance does not meet expectations, the probation period may be extended.

4. Prepare Required Documents
   • Scanned copies of:
