The Raman Research Institute (RRI) is a famous scientific research facility in Bengaluru, India. Sir C. V. Raman, a Nobel winner, founded the institute in 1948 as a privately owned business. RRI was established as an autonomous institute in 1972, with financing from the Indian government’s Department of Science and Technology.
Applications are being accepted for two temporary positions as Research Assistants (RA) for a project on Quantum Technology development employing ultra-cold atoms and quantum gases in the Light and Matter Physics (LAMP) Group at the Raman Research Institute. The roles are for one year and can be extended to a second year depending on the candidate’s performance.
The institute’s Quantum Mixture (QuMiX) Lab will host the shortlisted candidates. They are looking for dedicated individuals with a good academic background and the ability to measure and use scientific equipment. The candidates will collaborate with a dynamic group of professionals, including teachers, PhD and master’s students, and technocrats.

Title: Research Assistant in Quantum Technology Development using Ultra-Cold Atoms.
Role: To be a team member involved in the design, assembly, and calibration of components and devices required for quantum technology development employing cold atoms and laser light.

Preference will be given to candidates who have previously worked with relevant research areas and have hands-on experience.
A consolidated remuneration of Rs. 31,000/- plus admissible HRA per month will be paid to the selected candidates.
