RBI Summer Internship Recruitment Eligibility

1. a) Pursuing post-graduate courses
   b) Enrolled in integrated five-year courses in Management, Statistics, Law, Commerce, Economics, Econometrics, Banking, or Finance
   c) Pursuing a three-year full-time professional bachelor’s degree in Law from reputed institutions in India

Additionally, only students in the penultimate year of their course are eligible to apply for this summer placement.

RBI Summer Internship Recruitment Selection Process

• Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed in January/February at designated RBI offices.
• Travel Expenses: Shortlisted candidates from outstation locations will need to bear the travel costs for the interview. However, selected outstation candidates will be reimbursed AC II Tier return fare by rail or an equivalent amount for the summer project journey.
• Result Announcement: Names of selected students will be communicated by February/March.

RBI Summer Internship Stipend

• Stipend: Trainees will receive a monthly stipend of ₹20,000.

RBI Summer Internship Recruitment Declaration of Secrecy

All selected summer trainees must sign a declaration of secrecy before commencing their internship with the Reserve Bank of India.

RBI Summer Internship Recruitment  Duration

The internship typically lasts for a maximum of three months between April and July. The duration may be adjusted (either reduced or extended) based on the discretion of the Bank.

RBI Summer Internship Recruitment Place of Summer Training

Trainees will complete their projects at the RBI center corresponding to the state of their institute, according to the provided list of locations.

RBI Summer Internship Recruitment How to Apply?

Eligible students should submit their applications for the 2024 Summer Internship through the online application form between October 15 and December 15 of the previous year, for internships starting in April of the following year. Candidates must ensure they accurately specify the state where their college or institute is located.

• Final Submission: All details provided in the application, including name, date of birth, address, mobile number, email ID, and placement center, are final and cannot be modified after submission. Ensure accuracy to avoid issues.
• Incomplete Applications: Applications lacking a photograph, signature, or college authorization letter/Bona Fide certificate will be rejected.
• Early Application: It is advisable to apply well before the deadline to avoid issues like internet congestion or website access problems.
• No Responsibility for Submission Issues: RBI will not be responsible for any failure in application submission due to reasons beyond its control.

Who Can Apply?

Students pursuing higher studies in fields such as economics, finance, banking, management, law (five-year program), and related disciplines at universities or institutes abroad are eligible.

When to Apply?

Applications should be submitted between November 1 and December 31 of the previous year for internships starting in July of the following year. Late applications will not be considered.

Duration

The typical duration of the summer internship is a maximum of three months, from July to October each year.

Selection

Applicants will be notified of their selection by February 15 each year, along with details regarding the study area, related department of the Bank, etc.

Place of Summer Training

Selected trainees will undertake their project at the Central Office departments of the Bank located in Mumbai.

Declaration of Secrecy

All summer trainees must provide a declaration of secrecy to the Bank before starting their internship.

Facilities

Selected trainees will receive a monthly stipend of ₹20,000. They will be responsible for their own travel expenses to and from Mumbai and must arrange their accommodation independently.
