Railway BLW Eligibility Criteria

The detailed eligibility criteria for BLW Recruitment 2023 have been provided below the educational qualification and age limit. Before applying, candidates must satisfy the following criteria.

Railway BLW Education Qualification

• For Non-ITI – The Candidate must have passed the 10th class examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) with a minimum of 50% marks. Candidate should have passed the prescribed qualification before the date of issue of notification
• For ITI – The Candidate must have passed the 10th class examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) with a minimum of 50% marks, from a recognized Board and also must passed ITI in the relevant trades. Candidate should have passed the prescribed qualification before the date of issue of notification.

Railway BLW Salary Details

• The stipend will be paid as per the Railway Board’s/ Labour Ministry instructions issued from time to time.

Railway BLW Age Limit

• Non-ITI candidate has completed 15 years of age and is not more than 22 years old.
• ITI passed in the relevant trade has completed (Excluding welder and carpenter trade) 15 years of age, and not more than 24 years, Age limit for welder trade, and carpenter candidates from 15 years to 22 years only.

Railway BLW Recruitment 2023 Selection Process

Selection will be based on the merit list prepared (trade-wise, unit–wise, community-wise) The merit list in each unit will be prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in matriculation ( with minimum 50% aggregate marks) + ITI marks in the trade in which Apprenticeship is to be done The panel will be based on the average of marks in the matriculation and ITI.

Railway BLW Application Fee

• The application fee is Rs.100/-. Candidates have to register and make online payments by 16:45 hrs of date 25th November 2023.
• No fee is required for SC/ ST/ PH and woman candidates.
• Except for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Female, if the candidates have not submitted the application fee, the application will be rejected.
