Rail Wheel Factory, also known as Wheel and Axle Plant, is a manufacturing unit of Indian Railways located in Yelahanka, Bangalore, Karnataka. Established in 1984 by the then Railway Minister C. K. Rail Wheel Factory (RWF) in Bangalore has announced 192 job openings through the RWF Trade Apprentice Notification 2024. Rail Wheel Factory Recruitment 2024 Education Qualification

Apprenticeship eligibility requires candidates to have passed the 10th class examination or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from recognized Boards at the time of the notification’s issue. Additionally, candidates must possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the designated trade offered by this administration, issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).

The training period for designated trades such as Fitter, Machinist, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Turner, Electrician, and Electronic Mechanic will be one year. For the COE Group (CNC Programming-cum-Operator), the training period is six months.

Rail Wheel Factory Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

• Mode of selection:
  Candidates will be selected based on a merit list prepared from the marks obtained in Std/Matriculation or its equivalent, where a minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required. The percentage of marks obtained in all subjects as indicated in the marks sheet will be considered, not just specific subjects or groups.
• Consideration when marks are equal:
  If two candidates have the same marks, preference will be given to the candidate with the older age. If the dates of birth are the same, the candidate who passed the Std/Matriculation or its equivalent examination earlier will be considered first.

Rail Wheel Factory Recruitment 2024 Stipend

During their apprenticeship training at this Factory, candidates in the trades of Fitter, Machinist, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Turner, Electrician, and Electronic Mechanic will receive a stipend of Rs. 12,261 per month. For CNC Programming-cum-Operator, the stipend will be Rs. 10,899 per month, according to existing rules that may be amended from time to time.

Rail Wheel Factory Recruitment 2024 Application Fee

Along with the application form, candidates must send an Indian Postal Order/Demand Draft for Rs. 100/- from any Nationalised Bank in favor of ‘Principal Financial Adviser/Rail Wheel Factory. This fee is nonrefundable. SC/ST/Physically handicapped/Women candidates, on the other hand, are not required to pay a fee.
