PGCIL Recruitment 2024 Education Qualification

Engineer Trainee (Electrical):

• Full-Time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc in Electrical/Electrical (Power)/Electrical and Electronics/Power Systems Engineering/Power Engineering (Electrical) with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Engineer Trainee (Electronics):

• Full-Time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc in Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Telecommunication/Electronics & Electrical Communication/Telecommunication Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Engineer Trainee (Civil):

• Full-Time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Engineer Trainee (Computer Science):

• Full-Time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Technology with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Note: Final Year/Semester students expecting their results by 14.08.2024 are also eligible if they have at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate up to the pre-final examination.

PGCIL Recruitment 2024 Age Limit

Here is the age limit information for PGCIL Recruitment Through GATE 2024:

• General Applicants: Maximum age limit of 28 years as of 31st December 2023.
• OBC Applicants: Maximum age limit of 31 years as of 31st December 2023 (3 years of age relaxation).
• SC and ST Applicants: Maximum age limit of 33 years as of 31st December 2023 (5 years of age relaxation).
• PWD Applicants: Maximum age limit of 38 years as of 31st December 2023 (10 years of age relaxation).

It’s important to note that age relaxation will be provided as per government norms for all eligible categories.

PGCIL Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

The shortlisting of applicants will be based solely on their GATE 2024 scores for the next rounds of Power Grid recruitment. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited for a group discussion followed by a personal interview.

Applicants must bring their original GATE 2024 admit card and their original GATE scorecard, which is issued by the GATE organizing committee after the results are declared and contain the applicant’s GATE score.

PGCIL Recruitment 2024 Salary

Applicants selected through the PGCIL GATE 2024 recruitment process will be designated as Executive Trainees and undergo a one-year training program. During training, they will receive a monthly salary or stipend ranging from INR 40,000 to INR 1,40,000. After completing the training, they will be retained as Engineers within PGCIL.

The CTC and emoluments may vary based on the posting location and terms of appointment and will include components such as:

• Perquisites and allowances
• Performance-related pay
• Company Leased Accommodation, Quarters, or HRA
• Reimbursement of conveyance expenses

PGCIL Recruitment 2024 Service Agreement Bond

Selected candidates will be required to execute a service agreement bond to successfully complete the prescribed training period and serve the organization for at least three years. The bond amount is INR 5,00,000 for General/OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates and INR 2,50,000 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates, plus applicable taxes.

PGCIL Recruitment 2024 Application Fee

Candidates who are not exempt from paying application fees (only SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-SM/Departmental candidates are exempt) must visit the candidate login page and pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/- online.

Only after the application fee is submitted will the process be considered complete.

PGCIL Recruitment 2024- Application process

From 12th June 2024 onwards, candidates must register online at the POWERGRID website https://www.powergrid.in/ using their GATE 2024 registration number and other required details.

Here are important points regarding the application process:

• Online applications will close on 4th July 2024.
• Enter the GATE 2024 Registration Number exactly as it appears on your GATE 2024 Admit Card. No other number should be used.
• Once submitted, no requests for changes in GATE Registration Number, Name, or other details will be entertained. Ensure your name and other details match those on your GATE admit card.
• Fill out all application details carefully, especially email and alternative email fields, as all communication will be via email.
• After completing the application, submit it by clicking the Submit button. Upon acceptance, a unique POWERGRID Registration Number will be generated and shown in the completed application form.
• No hard copy of the application needs to be sent by post.
• Incomplete applications, draft applications, or applications without the required application fees (if applicable) will be rejected.
