About NTPC

NTPC Mining Ltd. (NML), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, was established in 2019. It operates seven coal blocks with a cumulative rated capacity of 74 million tonnes annually. NTPC NML Recruitment 2024 Education Qualification

Mining Overman	Full-time regular Diploma in Mining Engineering with at least 60% marks from a recognized institute. For SC/ST, pass marks are acceptable. Overman’s Certificate of Competency from DGMS for coal and a valid First Aid Certificate issued by DGMS-recognized institutes are required.
Magazine In-charge	Full-time regular Diploma in Mining Engineering with at least 60% marks from a recognized institute. For SC/ST, pass marks are acceptable. Overman’s Certificate of Competency from DGMS for coal and a valid First Aid Certificate issued by DGMS-recognized institutes are required.
Mechanical Supervisor	Full-time regular Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering with at least 60% marks from a recognized institute. For SC/ST, pass marks are acceptable.
Electrical Supervisor	Full-time regular Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering Diploma with at least 60% marks from a recognized institute. For SC/ST, pass marks are acceptable. Must also have a valid Supervisor certificate of competency for mining installations issued by the appropriate Government.
Vocational Training Instructor	Full-time regular Mining/Electrical/Mechanical Diploma with at least 60% marks from a recognized institute. For SC/ST, pass marks are acceptable. Must have a valid Overman/Foreman Certificate of Competency from DGMS (Restricted/Unrestricted) and a valid First Aid Certificate. Minimum 5 years of mining experience and at least 30 years of age.
Junior Mine Surveyor	Full-time Diploma in Mine Survey/Mining/Civil Engineering with at least 60% marks from a recognized institute. For SC/ST, pass marks are acceptable. Must have a Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS under the Coal Mines Regulation (CMR).
Mining Sirdar	Matriculation (10th pass) from a government-recognized board. Must have a valid Mining Sirdar’s certificate issued by DGMS for coal and a valid First Aid Certificate issued by DGMS-recognized institutes.

NTPC NML Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

1. Stage 1: CBT
   • Content: 120 questions (40 general, 80 trade-specific)
   • Duration: 2 hours
   • Scoring: +2 for correct, -0.5 for incorrect; no penalty for unanswered
   • Qualifying Marks: General/EWS – 50%, SC/ST/OBC (NCL) – 40%
2. Stage 2: Skill Test
   • Qualifying Marks: General/EWS – 40%, SC/ST/OBC (NCL) – 30%
   • Final Merit List: Based on CBT scores for those who pass the Skill Test

• CBT: Ranchi (Jharkhand), Bhubaneswar (Odisha)
• Skill Test: NTPC/NML Coal Mining Projects in Jharkhand or Odisha

NTPC NML Recruitment 2024 Salary

1. Monthly Pay:
   • Trades 1-6: INR 50,000
   • Trade 7: INR 40,000
2. Additional Benefits:
   • HRA/Company Accommodation: Subject to availability
   • Travel Allowance: Reimbursed for official tours
   • Medical Facilities: For self, spouse, dependent children (up to 25 years for sons, 30 years for daughters), and dependent parents
3. Contract Duration:
   • Initial Period: Up to 3 years
   • Extension: Possible up to 2 additional years based on performance and requirements
