About NLC
NLC India Limited (NLC) (formerly Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited) is a central public sector undertaking under the administrative control of the Ministry of Coal, Government of India. It annually produces about 30 million tonnes of lignite from opencast mines at Neyveli in the state of Tamil Nadu in southern India and at Barsingsar in Bikaner district of Rajasthan state. The lignite is used at pithead thermal power stations of 3640 MW installed capacity to produce electricity. Its joint venture has a 1000 MW thermal power station using coal. Lately, it has diversified into renewable energy production and installed a 1404 MW solar power plant to produce electricity from photovoltaic (PV) cells and 51 MW of electricity from windmills.

NLC Recruitment Selection Process
FOR ENGINEERING GRADUATE & DIPLOMA APPRENTICES:
- Selection will be based on a percentage of marks scored by the candidates in the
qualifying Degree / Diploma, as the case may be. - The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in Bachelors’s Degree / Diploma and as
awarded in the final qualifying examinations will be calculated based on the practice followed
by the University / Institution from where the candidate has obtained the Degree / Diploma. - In case the candidate is awarded grades / CGPA instead of marks, the percentage of marks
will be based on the procedure followed by the University / Institution from where he/she
has obtained the Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma
NET. ADVT.NO.L&DC.02/2023/PE Page 3 of 3 - In the absence of any established scheme in the University / Institution for the calculation of
percentage of marks, the following principles will apply - In case the candidate is awarded Grades / CGPA, then the equivalence in percentage of
marks will be established by multiplying the Grade / CGPA by a factor of 10. - In case the candidate is awarded marks semester-wise, then the equivalence in
percentage of marks will be established by taking the average percentage of marks
obtained by the candidate in all the semesters from II years to the final year, considering the
semester-wise average. - In case the candidate is awarded marks year-wise, then the equivalence in percentage of
marks would be established by taking the average percentage of marks obtained by
the candidate in all the years from II year to final year, considering the year-wise average.
METHOD OF SELECTION FOR NON-ENGG. GRADUATE APPRENTICES:
- Selection will be based on a percentage of marks scored by the candidates in all subjects in the XII
Std. (HSc) examinations.

be available from 10.00 Hours on 07.08.2023 to 17.00 Hours on 16.08.2023.) - Complete the application form and take a printout of the registration form.
- The Registration forms duly signed should be submitted directly to the
Office of The General Manager, Land Department, N.L.C India Limited. Block-20, Neyveli – 607 803.
on or before 23.08.2023 by 5.00 pm
