About NHPC

NHPC Limited (erstwhile National Hydroelectric Power Corporation ) is an Indian government hydropower board under the ownership of the Ministry of Power, Government of India that was incorporated in the year 1975 with an authorized capital of ₹2,000 million and to plan, promote and organize an integrated and efficient development of hydroelectric power in all aspects. Recently it has expanded to include other energy sources like Solar, Geothermal, Tidal, Wind, etc.

NHPC Recruitment Selection Process:

• The candidates registered online with NHPC and have filled in all the requisite information in
  conformity with eligibility criteria shall be provisionally allowed to appear for Computer Based
  OnlineTest.

The Minimum Qualifying Marks in CBT for consideration of candidates in the selection process:

• Gen./OBC/ EWS: 40% Marks
• SC/ST/PWD: 35% Marks
• Based on the merit of the Online Test, the final selected candidates will be given a provisional “Offer of Appointment

Subject	For Jr. Engineer (Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical/ E&C), Draftsman (Civil) & Draftsman (Electrical/Mechanical) – (200 Questions): Part-I consists of 140 MCQs of the concerned discipline. Part II consists of 30 MCQs on General Awareness and Part III of 30 MCQ on Reasoning For Hindi Translator Post (110 Questions): Part-I consists of 40 MCQ and 10 Descriptive Type questions of the concerned discipline. Part II consists of 30 MCQs on General Awareness and Part III of 30 MCQ on Reasoning
Marking	For every correct answer of MCQ, one mark shall be awarded. For every wrong answer attempted by the candidates, negative marking marks (i.e. 0.25 marks) will be deducted. All the descriptive types of questions will have 10 marks each without any negative marking. Nomarks will be awarded/deducted for un-attempted questions.

Application Fee

• Candidates belonging to the General, EWS & OBC (NCL) categories are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs.295/- through online mode.
• The SC/ST/PwBD/ESM category candidates need not pay the registration fee.
