NHPC Apprentice 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification

Candidates who have passed their 10th and ITI (Industrial Training Institute) qualifications are eligible to apply. However, candidates whose results are awaited should not apply. Only those candidates who have completed their ITI between 2019 and 2024 are eligible to apply.

Age Limit

Candidates applying for the position should be between 18 to 25 years of age as of May 10, 2024. However, there is a relaxation in the upper age limit as per the Government of India guidelines for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH categories.

Reservation guidelines under the Apprenticeship Act for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD categories will be adhered to. Applicants claiming reservation under these categories must provide a certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the government-standard format. Failure to provide the required certificate will result in their reservation claim being considered under the ‘General’ category only.

NHPC Apprentice 2024 Selection Process

The selection of Apprentice Trainees will be based on the marks secured in ITI. In case of a tie in marks between two or more candidates, the candidate with the higher age will be given preference. The list of selected apprentice trainees will be published in the career section of the NHPC website, www.nhpcindia.com. Contracts for selected candidates will be generated on the website www.apprenticeshipindia.org. Selected candidates will receive information about the contract issuance via their registered email ID. Candidates must accept the offer and sign the contract on the website www.apprenticeshipindia.org.

Preference for the selection of Apprentice Trainees will be given as follows:
(i) First preference will be given to candidates belonging to Champawat District.
(ii) Second preference will be given to candidates belonging to Uttarakhand State.

NHPC Apprentice 2024 Stipend & Training

The stipend will be paid as per the Apprenticeship Act, of 1961.

The duration of the training will be one year, and the contract will be automatically terminated upon completion of the apprenticeship training period. Shortlisted candidates must provide an undertaking stating they will not demand employment after completing training.
