The Northern Region Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute (NRFMTTI), located on Sirsa Road in Hisar, Haryana, is a public-funded institute under the Government of India’s Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. It is one of four such institutes established to provide training and testing in agricultural machinery. The institute has trained students not only from across India but also from more than 27 countries, making it a hub for agricultural education. Additionally, NRFMTTI hosts the annual Krishi Darshan Expo in October, where the latest innovations in farm machinery and technology are showcased, benefiting farmers and professionals in the agricultural sector.

Educational Qualification:
- Technical Assistant (General Central Service, Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial):
- Diploma in Agricultural Engineering from a recognized institution or university.
- 5 years of experience in the relevant field.
Age Limit (as on 01 January 2025):
- 18 to 27 years of age.
Age Relaxation:
- ST: 5 years
- PwD (ST): 15 years
- Defence Personnel disabled in operation: 8 years
- Central Govt Civilian Employees (ST): Up to 45 years
- Widows/Divorced Women (ST): Up to 40 years
- Meritorious Sports Persons (ST): Up to 10 years
NERFMTTI Recruitment 2024: Selection Process
The selection process consists of:
- Document Verification:
- Candidates will be required to submit their original and photocopied documents during verification.
- Skill/Proficiency Test:
- Candidates who pass document verification will be allowed to appear for the skill/proficiency test. This test is qualifying in nature.
- Written Test:
- Candidates must score a minimum percentage of marks to pass the written test.
- Merit List:
- A merit list will be drawn based on the marks obtained in the written test.
