About NDA

The National Defence Academy is the joint defense service training institute of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the three services i.e., the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and the Indian Air Force train together before they go on to respective service academies for further pre-commission training. The alumni of It include 3 Param Ver Chakra recipients and 12 Ashoka Chakra recipients.

NDA has also produced 27 service Chiefs of Staff to date. The current Chiefs of Staff of the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force are all NDA alumni from the same course. The 137th course graduated on 30 November 2019, consisting of 188 Army cadets, 38 Naval cadets, 37 Air Force cadets, and 20 cadets from friendly foreign countries.

NDA Recruitment 2023 Selection Process

Written Examination

• General Intelligence and Reasoning will be non-verbal considering the functions attached to the post
• Numerical Aptitude and General English up to the level of minimum educational qualification prescribed for each post will be such that a candidate will be in a position to answer them comfortably, provided his/her has studied in class 10th or 12th (with subjects English, Maths, Science, etc).

Skill Test

• The Shortlisted Candidate will be called for a skillset wherever applicable. Further 100% weightage will be given for the written test. The skill test will be of a qualifying nature only and marks awarded therein will not be added to the total marks while preparing the merit list.
