The National Chemical Laboratory (NCL) is an esteemed Indian government laboratory located in Pune, in the western region of India. It is commonly referred to as NCL and is a constituent member of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) India, with its establishment dating back to 1950. Dr. Ashish Lele currently serves as the Director of NCL, assuming office on April 1, 2021. The laboratory boasts approximately 200 scientific staff members and is renowned for its interdisciplinary research encompassing polymer science, organic chemistry, catalysis, materials chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemical sciences, and process development. NCL houses state-of-the-art infrastructure for measurement science and chemical information, further enhancing its research capabilities.
NCL Walk-in interviews in Pune are scheduled for the engagement of Apprentices under the Apprentices Rules, 1992, and the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 (amended in 2014 and 2019). The training period for this Apprentice post will be one year, with an age limit of up to 24 years. Selected candidates will receive a stipend ranging from Rs. 7700/- to Rs. 8050/-. The selection process is based on interviews.
