About IUAC

The Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) is an autonomous institution established by the University Grants Commission of India. Its aim is to foster the development of active research groups in astronomy and astrophysics within Indian universities. Located on the University of Pune campus, IUCAA is adjacent to the National Centre for Radio Astrophysics, which operates the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope.
