The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) is one of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) of India, primarily tasked with the protection of the Indo-Tibetan border. Established in 1962, ITBP is responsible for ensuring the security of the border areas, surveillance, and disaster management. ITBP personnel are also deployed for various other duties such as maintaining law and order, anti-terrorism operations, and aiding civilian authorities in times of need.
