Eligibility Criteria: ISRO Recruitment 2023

The eligibility criteria for ISRO Recruitment 2023 are crucial guidelines outlining the educational, age, and skill requirements that applicants must meet to apply for various positions within the Indian Space Research Organisation.

Required Qualifications –

For Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in Polymer Science & Engineering/Rubber Technology (Post Code. 41):

• M.E/M. Tech or equivalent Post Graduate Degree in Polymer Science & Engineering/Rubber Technology.
• Minimum aggregate of 60% or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10-point scale.
• Pre-eligibility qualification of B.E/B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum aggregate of 65% marks (Average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10-point scale for candidates with AMIE.
• Minimum 65% marks or CGPA 6.84 in Section B alone for candidates with AMIE.

For Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in Electrical Engineering/Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Post Code. 42):

• B.E/B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum aggregate of 65% marks (Average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10-point scale.
• Minimum 65% marks or CGPA 6.84 in Section B alone for candidates with AMIE/Grad IETE qualification.

For Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in M.Sc Agriculture (Horticulture Forestry) (Post Code. 43):

• M.Sc or equivalent Post Graduate Degree in Agriculture with specialization in Horticulture/Forestry.
• Minimum aggregate of 65% marks (Average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10-point scale.
• Pre-eligibility qualification: B.Sc Agriculture with specialization in Horticulture/Forestry.
• Minimum aggregate of 60% marks (Average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10-point scale.

Age Limit –

• For Polymer Science & Engineering/Rubber Technology: Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years of age as of 03 November 2023.
• For Electrical Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering: The age range for candidates is 18 to 20 years as of 03 November 2023.
• For M.Sc Agriculture (Horticulture Forestry): Candidates should fall within the age bracket of 18 to 20 years as of 03 November 2023.

Additionally, there are age relaxation provisions as per Government of India Orders for Ex-servicemen (ESM), Central Government Servants, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD).

Vacancy Details

The number of vacancies for each position is as follows:

• Polymer Science & Engineering/Rubber Technology: 1 Post
• Electrical Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering: 8 Posts
• M.Sc Agriculture (Horticulture Forestry): 1 Post

Salary/Pay Matrix Details

• For the position of Scientist/Engineer ‘SC,’ the monthly remuneration amounts to Rs. 79,662, inclusive of Basic Pay and Dearness Allowance (DA).
• Additionally, House Rent Allowance (HRA) and Transport Allowance will be provided by the applicable Government of India regulations.

Selection Process – ISRO Recruitment 2023

1. The mode of selection consists of a Written Test followed by an Interview.

2. Candidates will be shortlisted for the Interview based on their performance in the Written Test, usually in a 1:5 ratio with a minimum of 10 candidates for each category-wise number of vacancies.

3. The final panel generation process will assign 50% weightage to the marks obtained in the Written Test and 50% weightage to the marks obtained in the Interview.

Written Test Details:

(A) For Post Code. 41 (Polymer Science & Engineering/Rubber Technology):

• Part A (Area/Discipline Specific Part) Duration: 75 Minutes
• Part B (Aptitude/Ability Tests) Duration: 30 Minutes
• Part C (Descriptive Questions) Duration: 30 Minutes
• Total Marks: 100 Marks
• Pass Criteria: Candidates need to secure at least 50% in each part (A, B, and C).

(B) For Post Code. 42 & 43 (Electrical Engineering/Electrical and Electronics Engineering, M.Sc Agriculture):

• Part A (Area/Discipline Specific Part) Duration: 90 Minutes
• Part B (Aptitude/Ability Tests) Duration: 30 Minutes
• Part C (Descriptive Questions) is not applicable
• Total Marks: 100 Marks
• Pass Criteria: Candidates need to secure at least 50% in Part A and Part B.

Interview:

The Interview carries a total of 50 out of 100 marks.

Qualifying Criteria:

• To qualify, candidates must achieve an aggregate score of at least 60%.

Written Test Locations:

The Written Tests for recruitment will be conducted in the following cities:

• Guntur

• Chennai
• Thiruvananthapuram

To apply for ISRO Recruitment 2023, here are the steps:

1. Interested and eligible candidates should submit their applications online.

2. The application deadline is 03 November 2023, and the submission should be completed by 17:00 hrs on that date.

Application Fee

• For each application, the fee is Rs. 250 (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty only).

Processing Fee:

• Initially, all candidates are required to pay a uniform processing fee of Rs. 750 (Rupees Seven Hundred and Fifty only) per application.

Processing Fee Refund:

• The processing fee will be refunded to candidates who appear in the written test as follows:
• A full refund of Rs. 750 for candidates exempted from paying the Application Fee (Women/SC/ST/PWBD/Ex-Servicemen).
• For all other candidates, a refund of Rs. 500 after deducting the Application Fee.

Payment Mode: The processing fee can be paid online through a Debit Card or Internet Banking.
