About INDIAN OVERSEAS BANK (IOB)

Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) is a public sector bank headquartered in Chennai. During the nationalization, IOB was one of 14 major banks taken over by the Indian government. On December 5, 2021, IOB received the Degidhan Award 2020-21 from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology for having the second-highest percentage of digital payment transactions among public sector banks.

As of March 31, 2022, IOB’s overall business is valued at ₹417,960 crore (US$50 billion). It has around 3,220 domestic branches, two Digital Banking Units (DBUs), four foreign branches, and a representative office. M. Ct. M. IOB Apprentice Recruitment 2024

Indian Overseas Bank has advertised 550 Apprentice jobs, with a complete notification and online application form available at https://www.iob.in/ on August 28, 2024. Candidates for the apprentice position will be chosen based on their performance in an online test, followed by a test of the local language. The enrollment procedure has already begun and will continue online until September 10th, 2024, on Indian Overseas Bank’s official website.

  3. Personal Interaction (if any, as decided by the Bank)
• Note: Merely satisfying the eligibility norms does not automatically entitle a candidate to be called for the Online Examination and personal interaction.

  Application Process:

• Candidates must complete the online application form for the “IOB Apprenticeship Program FY 2024-25” by visiting the “Career Opportunities” page on www.bfsissc.com.
• Applicants can apply for engagement in only ONE State/UT, preferably their home State/UT.

  Application/Examination Fee/Intimation Charges (Non-Refundable):

• Only eligible candidates will receive email communication from BFSI SSC to make payment of the examination fees/intimation charges through the ONLINE mode only, from 28.08.2024 to 15.09.2024. No other mode of payment is acceptable.

• Note: Once an application is submitted, it cannot be withdrawn, and the fee once paid will NOT be refunded under any circumstances, nor can it be adjusted against any other engagement process.

  Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates should not have previously undergone Apprenticeship training either with Indian Overseas Bank or any other organization as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 (as amended from time to time), nor should they have been terminated during the course of Apprenticeship training due to their own fault.
• Candidates who have training or job experience of one year or more after completing their educational qualifications are not eligible for engagement as Apprentices.
