About the Indian Coast Guard
The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) is a multi-mission, all-weather, and fast-response organization under the Ministry of Defence of India. It is primarily responsible for safeguarding India’s maritime interests, enforcing maritime laws, and assisting in national security. The ICG operates along the country’s extensive coastline, performing roles like maritime search and rescue, environmental protection, and combating illegal activities at sea such as smuggling, piracy, and human trafficking. Established in 1978, it has grown to become one of the world’s largest and most capable coast guard forces. The ICG works in coordination with the Indian Navy, Customs, and other maritime agencies to ensure the security and safety of Indian waters.
Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025
The Indian Coast Guard is hiring Navik (GD) and Navik (DB) for the 02/2025 Batch. Applications are open from 11th to 25th February 2025. Candidates must meet educational and age criteria: 12th pass (GD) or 10th pass (DB), aged 18 to 22 years. There are 300 vacancies across various zones. Selected candidates will receive a ₹21,700 salary, training at INS Chilka, and additional benefits. SC/ST candidates are exempt from the application fee. Apply online at the official website.

Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit:
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 22 years
- Birth dates: 01 Sep 2003 to 31 Aug 2007 (both dates inclusive)
- Upper age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer)
- Educational Qualifications:
- Navik (GD): 12th with Maths & Physics
- Navik (DB): 10th passed
