(a) General Duty (GD)

• Age: 21-25 years as of 01 Jul 2025 (Born between 01 Jul 2000 & 30 Jun 2004).
  5 years of relaxation for Coast Guard/Army/Navy/Air Force personnel.
• Gender: Male
• Qualification:
  • Degree from a recognized university.
  • Maths & Physics up to Class XII or equivalent.
  • Graduation after a diploma (with Maths & Physics) is also eligible.

(b) Technical (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics)

• Age: 21-25 years as of 01 Jul 2025 (Born between 01 Jul 2000 & 30 Jun 2004).
  5 years of relaxation for Coast Guard personnel.
• Gender: Male
• Qualification:
  • Engineering degree in relevant disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, etc.) or equivalent qualifications recognized by Institutes of Engineers (India).
  • Maths & Physics up to Class XII or equivalent.
  • Graduation after a diploma (with Maths & Physics) is also eligible.

Additional Criteria:

• Disciplinary Grounds: Not eligible if withdrawn from any service training academy on disciplinary grounds.
• Criminal Charges: Not eligible if arrested, convicted, or prosecuted on criminal charges.
• Final Year Students: Eligible if no backlogs and must submit proof of passing by 30 Nov 2025.

• Yearly Courses: 2nd/3rd-year marksheet.

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

1. Stage-I: CGCAT (Computerized Common Admission Test)
   • Online screening with 100 MCQs covering English, Reasoning, Science, and General Knowledge.
   • Duration: 2 hours.
   • Candidates are shortlisted based on CGCAT scores for Stage II.
2. Stage II: Preliminary Selection Board (PSB)
   • Includes Computerized Cognitive Battery Test (CCBT) and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP&DT).
   • Document and biometric verification.
   • Qualifying stage.
3. Stage-III: Final Selection Board (FSB)
   • Includes Psychological Tests, Group Tasks, and Personality Interviews.
   • Documents are verified again, and candidates are recommended for medical examination.
4. Stage IV: Medical Examination
   • Candidates undergo a special medical exam at Base Hospital, New Delhi.
   • Appeals allowed for unfit candidates.
5. Stage-V: Induction
   • Candidates who pass all stages are selected for training at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala.
   • Induction deadline: 27 Dec 2025.

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Recruitment 2024 Application Process

1. Applications will be accepted online from 05 Dec 2024 (1100 Hrs) to 24 Dec 2024 (1730 Hrs) on the official website: https://joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in. Ensure email and mobile number validity until 31 Dec 2025.
2. Candidates meeting eligibility for both General Duty (GD) and Technical (Engineering) branches can apply for both, with first preference considered during Stage-I and Stage-II shortlisting, and second preference for the final merit list.
3. Only the latest application will be accepted if multiple applications are submitted. Previous ones will be rejected without fee refund.
4. Applications will be scrutinized for eligibility, and ineligible candidates may be rejected at any stage.
5. Documents must be uploaded in two phases: during the initial application and after shortlisting for Stage-II.
6. Only scan original documents, not photocopies or self-attested copies.
