Indian Bank invites applications for the position of Apprentice under the Apprentices Act of 1961 for the fiscal year 2024-2025. There are 1,500 openings for this position. Candidates of any degree level are eligible to apply. Interested and qualified people can apply online from July 10 to July 31, 2024.

Indian Bank Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality / Citizenship

A candidate must be either:

1. A Citizen of India, or
2. A subject of Nepal, or
3. A subject of Bhutan, or
4. A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India, or
5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to settle in India permanently, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv), & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor the Government of India has issued a certificate of eligibility.

Age & Educational Qualification

• The cut-off date for eligibility criteria: is 01.07.2024
• Age:
  • Minimum: 20 years
  • Maximum: 28 years
  • However, relaxation in the upper age limit for categories like SC/ST/OBC/PWBD, etc., as per Govt. of India guidelines is applicable. The cut-off date will be the first date of the month of Advertisement for the engagement.
• Educational Qualification:
  • Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualifications recognized by the Central Government.
  • Candidates should have completed and have a passing certificate for their graduation after 31.03.2020.

Indian Bank Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

1. Online Written Test
   • Four parts: Reasoning Aptitude and Computer Knowledge, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Financial Awareness.
   • Total: 100 questions, 100 marks, 60 minutes.
   • Conducted in regional languages (except General English).
   • Negative marking: 1/4th mark deduction for each wrong answer.
   • Merit list based on aggregate marks. In case of a tie, older candidates ranked higher.
   • A waitlist may be drawn.
2. Local Language Proficiency
   • Candidates must be proficient in the specified local language of the state applied for.
   • Language tests are conducted after qualifying for the written exam.
   • Exemption: Candidates with 8th, 10th, or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate in the specified language.
   • Language test conducted at a designated center in the state applied for.

Indian Bank Recruitment 2024 Period of Training

• Duration: 12 Months of On-the-Job Training.

Indian Bank Recruitment 2024 Stipend

• Metro / Urban Branches: Rs. 15,000/- per month.
• Rural / Semi Urban Branches: Rs. 12,000/- per month.
• Additional Information: Apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances or benefits.

2. Navigate to the “Careers” section and find “Engagement of Apprentices for FY 2024-25”; click on it.
3. Tap on “New Registration”, which will redirect you to a new web page.
4. Click on “Click Here for New Registration”.
5. Enter basic details such as the candidate’s name, category, date of birth, parent’s name, mobile number, email ID, etc.
6. A registration number and password will be sent to your email ID and SMS.
7. Proceed to fill out the application form by uploading your photograph, signature, and other required details.
8. Review the entire application form to ensure all details are accurate.
9. Upload necessary documents such as caste certificates, educational mark sheets, etc.
10. Pay the required application fees through the payment gateway.
