The Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IIT Jodhpur or IITJ) is a public technical university located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. It is one of the eight new Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, under The Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 2011. This Act declared the establishment of these eight IITs and the conversion of the Institute of Technology at Banaras Hindu University into an IIT. The Act was passed in the Lok Sabha on 24 March 2011 and in the Rajya Sabha on 30 April 2012.

IIT Ropar Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications: All qualifications must be from Indian institutions recognized by the appropriate statutory authority.

Apprenticeship Training: Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship Act elsewhere are not eligible to apply.

Minimum Age: The candidate’s minimum age should be 18 years as of the day of application.

IIT Ropar Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

1. Marks Submission: All candidates must upload their final marks in percentage only, not in CGPA. If marks are provided in CGPA, candidates must convert them into a percentage as prescribed by their respective universities. Proof of conversion will be checked during document verification. Applications with marks entered in CGPA will be summarily rejected.
2. Shortlisting: Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on merit.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be asked to report for document verification on the given date, time, and venue.
4. Medical Fitness: A medical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner of a Government/Municipal Hospital, including full details of the Medical Officer (name, address, and registration), is mandatory.
