About IBPS

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is indeed a prominent central recruitment agency under the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. It was established to facilitate the recruitment and placement of young graduates, postgraduates, and doctoral candidates in various positions ranging from Group ‘A’ officers to Group ‘D’ employees across nationalized banks and regional rural banks in India. On August 1, 2024, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) formally announced the IBPS PO Notification 2024. The IBPS PO 2024 online application period opened on August 21, 2024, and will stay available till that date. Applications are being accepted for the roles of probationary officers (POs) from interested and qualified candidates.

Probationary Officer positions totaling 4,455 have been made available for the IBPS PO 2024 recruitment. The main and preliminary exams are part of the selection process, and an interview comes next. IBPS PO Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality/Citizenship:
   • Must be:
     • A Citizen of India, or
     • A subject of Nepal, or
     • A subject of Bhutan, or
     • A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, intending to permanently settle, or
     • A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam) with the intention of permanent settlement in India.
   • Candidates from categories (ii) to (v) must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
2. Age (As of 01.08.2024):
   • Minimum: 20 years
   • Maximum: 30 years
   • Born between 02.08.1994 and 01.08.2004 (both dates inclusive).
3. Educational Qualification:
   • A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India or any equivalent qualification.
   • Must have a valid mark sheet/Degree Certificate as proof of graduation on the day of registration and indicate the percentage of marks obtained.

IBPS PO Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

To be selected for the IBPS PO 2024, candidates must pass through three stages:

1. Prelims Exam: Qualifying stage; no specific cut-off.
2. Mains Exam: Requires scoring above the minimum cut-off to progress to the Interview.
3. Interview: Based on combined scores from Prelims and Mains.

Candidates must meet the sectional and overall cut-offs for each stage to advance to the next and be considered for final selection.
