HVF Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

  1. Category I – Graduate Apprentices:
  • Degree in Engineering or Technology (Full-time) from a Statutory University in a relevant discipline.
  • Degree in Engineering or Technology (Full-time) from an Institution empowered to grant such a degree by an Act of Parliament in a relevant discipline.
  • Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent.
  1. Category II – Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:
  • Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Full-time) from a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in a relevant discipline.
  • Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Full-time) from a University in a relevant discipline.
  • Diploma in Engineering and Technology from an Institution recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent.
  1. Category III – Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices:
  • Degree in Arts / Science / Commerce / Humanities such as BA / B.Sc. / B.Com / BBA / BBM / BCA etc. (Regular – Full time) from a Statutory University / Deemed University in relevant discipline. Must be UGC approved.

Age:

  • Age limit as per Apprenticeship Rules.

Minimum Physical Standards:

  • As prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rule 1992, and amendments if any.

Previous Training/Experience:

  • Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973, and/or have one year or more experience are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply.

  • The Apprenticeship training period is one year, by the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.

HVF Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

  • Responsibility: The board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) is entrusted with preparing a shortlist from online applications.
  • Shortlisting Criteria: Candidates are shortlisted based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification relevant to their discipline.
  • Notification: Shortlisted candidates will be informed via their registered email IDs.
  • Certificate Verification: Shortlisted candidates must attend Certificate Verification at Heavy Vehicles Factory, Avadi, Chennai

  1. Go to NATS Portal.
  2. Click “Student Login.”
  3. Click “Forgot Password” and reset it using your registered email.
  4. Login with new credentials.

Category B – New NATS Portal Users

  1. Log in with your email ID and password.
