Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has announced online applications for 9 Air Traffic Controller Trainee positions, as detailed in Advt No. ASC/HR/RECRUITMENT/ATC(GD-1)TRAINEE/2024. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in specified disciplines and meet the required minimum marks criteria to be eligible. Interested applicants can submit their applications online from September 25 to October 16, 2024. The selection process will consist of a written test and a skill test, with the final merit list determined by performance in both stages.

• Test Structure:

• The selection will include an Offline Written Test and a Skill Test.

• Eligibility and Written Test:

• Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be invited for the Written Test, which they must attend at their own expense. Details about the date, time, and venue will be provided on the e-Admit Card, which must be downloaded from the HAL website (not sent by post or email).

• Test Location:

• The Written Test will take place in Bengaluru. HAL reserves the right to change the test center or reschedule the test date as necessary.

• Identification Requirement:

• Candidates must present one original ID (Voter ID, Driving License, Aadhaar Card, Passport, or PAN Card) to the invigilator for identity verification.

• Written Test Details:

• Duration: 2.5 hours
• Total Marks: 136
• Format: Three parts of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs):
  • Part I: 17 MCQs on General Awareness
  • Part II: 34 MCQs on English & Reasoning
  • Part III: 85 MCQs on the relevant discipline

• Skill Test Shortlisting:

• Candidates will be shortlisted for the Skill Test based on Written Test scores in a 1:5 ratio for each category.
• Unreserved candidates and those from SC/ST/OBC(NCL) without relaxation will be grouped and ranked in merit order.
• SC/OBC(NCL) candidates not shortlisted in the UR category will be regrouped by their respective categories.

• Final Merit List:

• The final merit list will weigh 85% from the Written Test and 15% from the Skill Test.
• Candidates must achieve at least 50% in both tests to qualify, with relaxation available for reserved categories per company rules.

• Skill Test Details:

• Total Marks: 24
• Evaluation will include cognitive abilities, psychomotor skills, sensory abilities, and interactive/social scales.

Eligibility Requirements Before Applying:

1. Valid Email ID: Must remain active throughout the selection process.
2. Documents for Upload:
   • Recent passport-sized color photograph (soft copy).
   • Specimen signature.
   • Aadhar card (soft copy in .jpg, less than 180 KB).
   • Educational details, including semester-wise marks.
   • Soft copies of 10th Mark Sheet and Engineering Degree (all semesters) in .jpg format (less than 180 KB).
3. Employment Details: Include if applicable.

Application Timeline:

• Online Application Period: From September 25, 2024 (1700 hrs) to October 16, 2024 (1700 hrs) via the HAL website: www.hal-india.co.in (Careers Section).

Steps for Online Application Submission:

1. Registration:
   • Visit the HAL Careers Section and select the desired post.
   • Fill in eligibility details and upload required documents.
   • A unique Application Number will be generated.
2. Personal & Qualification Details:
   • Complete the form with personal and qualification information.
   • Upload mark sheets (10th and Engineering).
   • An “Edit” option will be available before final submission.
   • For SC/ST/Internal/PwBD Candidates: Registration completes after submitting details. Print the Application Confirmation page for reference.
3. Payment for UR/OBC(NCL) Candidates:
   • After submitting details, candidates from UR/OBC(NCL) categories must pay an application fee of Rs. 500 (inclusive of GST) via SBIePay. Payment modes include Credit Card, Internet Banking, and BHIM-UPI.
