Flipkart Private Limited is an Indian e-commerce company headquartered in Bangalore and incorporated in Singapore as a private limited company. Initially focusing on online book sales, the company expanded into various product categories such as consumer electronics, fashion, home essentials, groceries, and lifestyle products. Competing primarily with Amazon India and domestic rival Snapdeal, Flipkart held a 48% market share in the Indian e-commerce industry as of FY23. With a dominant position in the apparel segment, bolstered by its acquisition of Myntra, Flipkart is considered on par with Amazon in the sale of electronics and mobile phones.
<Girls Wanna Code/> is an initiative that began in 2018 to promote women’s tech talent and provide them with opportunities to collaborate with leading minds in technology in India. The initiative focuses on tapping into women’s tech talent outside premier technology campuses like IITs and NITs to ensure more equitable participation in the field.
In past years, participants of this program have not only secured roles at Flipkart but have also landed positions at some of the top firms in the industry.
<Girls Wanna Code/> 5.0 is open to all women engineering students pursuing a full-time B.Tech./B.E. (3rd and 4th year) or M.Tech./M.E. (all years) degrees across branches from the selected institutes.
Rules:
<Girls Wanna Code/> 5.0 will be conducted in 3 stages:
1)Online Coding Challenge:
Participants who register for <Girls Wanna Code/> 5.0 on the Unstop platform will undergo an online coding challenge to assess their basic coding skills. Based on their test scores, students will be shortlisted to advance to the next stage.

2) #GWC Learning Cohorts
After the initial selection round, students will be grouped into cohorts and enrolled in an immersive learning program led by experts from Flipkart.
The program consists of 4 modules tailored to equip students with the skills necessary to excel in interviews at premier technology and product firms.
After each module, students will undergo evaluations in the form of online tests to assess their understanding of the material.
Participants in the cohort will also receive privileged access to mentors from Flipkart who will provide guidance and support throughout the program.
3)Final Evaluation
Upon completion of the cohort, a final evaluation will be administered, assessing students’ comprehension of the program curriculum.
Successful candidates will be eligible to participate in Flipkart’s interview process for both full-time software development engineer roles and internships.
