Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) is a significant central power-generating organization operating in the Damodar River region of West Bengal and Jharkhand states in India. It manages the Damodar Valley Project, which is the first multipurpose river valley project of independent India. The original plan for this project was prepared by Indian Astrophysicist Meghnad Saha, who was also the former chief architect of river planning in India.

DVC Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
The selection process for DVC JE Recruitment 2024 includes a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Document Verification:
Computer-Based Test (CBT):
- Duration: 2 hours
- Sections:
- Part I: General Aptitude Test (GAT) – 30 questions
- Part II: Technical Knowledge Test (TKT) – 70 questions
- Total Marks: 100
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer
Document Verification:
- Shortlisted candidates undergo document verification based on their CBT performance.
Candidates must excel in both stages for final selection.
DVC Recruitment 2024 Salary
Selected candidates will be placed in the Pay Scale of Rs 35,400-1,12,400/- in Pay Matrix Level 6 (as per the 7th Pay Revision) during the one-year probation period. Upon successful completion of the probation period, candidates will be absorbed on the same pay scale and pay matrix. The compensation package includes:

- Leave Travel Allowance
- National Pension System (NPS)
- Conveyance Allowance
- Leave Encashment
- House Rent Allowance (HRA)
These benefits are admissible as per Corporation Rules in force from time to time.
DVC Recruitment 2024 Application Fee
Selected candidates will be required to execute a service agreement bond to successfully complete the prescribed probation period of one year and subsequently serve the organization for at least three additional years, making it a total of four years.
- Bond Amount for General/OBC(NCL)/EWS Categories: Rs. 2,00,000 (Rupees Two Lakhs Only)
- Bond Amount for SC/ST/PwBD Categories: Rs. 1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh Only)
The bond amount is subject to applicable interest.
DVC Recruitment 2024 – How to Apply?
Payment of Application Fee:
(i) Candidates belonging to General/OBC(NCL)/EWS categories must pay a Non-refundable Application Fee of Rs. 300/-.
(ii) Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWBD/Ex-SM categories & DVC Departmental Candidates are exempt from paying application fees.
(iii) Incomplete applications or applications without application fees will be summarily rejected.
(iv) The last date for payment of the application fee is 04/07/2024.
(v) Candidates must ensure that payment of Rs. 300/- is made in a single transaction; amounts less than Rs. 300/- will not be accepted as the application fee.
(vi) Application Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates should verify their eligibility before paying the application fee. Bank charges, if applicable, are to be borne by the candidates.
