About DRDO

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is the premier agency under the Department of Defence Research and Development in the Ministry of Defence of India. About DRDO ITR

The Integrated Test Range (ITR) is a DRDO facility in Chandipur, Odisha, on the Bay of Bengal coast, known for testing rockets, missiles, and airborne weapon systems. Renamed in 2003 from the Interim Test Range, it offers advanced launch facilities and technical infrastructure. Key technologies include spot frequency receivers, telemetry de-commutators, power disturbance analyzers, VLSI-based products, and a virtual range simulation framework. Shri Katari Suchendar, Scientist ‘H’, became the Director on February 29, 2024.

DRDO’s Integrated Test Range (ITR) is inviting applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Research Associate (RA) positions in various disciplines. The age limit for these positions ranges from 28 to 35 years. Selected candidates will receive monthly salaries ranging from Rs. 37,000 to Rs. 67,000. The selection process will be based on interviews. Interested candidates should apply by email before 12 June 2024. DRDO ITR Recruitment 2024 Age Limit

• Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): Not exceeding 28 years (Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates as per rules) as on 05/06/2024.
• Research Associate (RA): Not exceeding 35 years (Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates as per rules) as on 05/06/2024.

DRDO ITR Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

• Selection based on interview performance.
• Interview date to be notified later to shortlisted candidates.
• Interviews were conducted via video conferencing or physical mode for shortlisted candidates only.
• SMS/Email notification sent to shortlisted candidates about interview mode, date, and timing.
• Only candidates with submitted applications and supporting documents, shortlisted after scrutiny, are eligible for an interview.

DRDO ITR Recruitment 2024 Salary

• Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): Rs. 37,000 per month, with applicable HRA and medical facilities as per rules.
• Research Associate (RA): Rs. 67,000 per month, with applicable HRA and medical facilities as per rules.

DRDO ITR Recruitment 2024 Tenure

• Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): The post is temporary with a maximum tenure of 5 years. Initially, the tenure is for 2 years as JRF, which can be extended to Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) for the remaining 3 years based on satisfactory performance assessed according to DRDO guidelines.
• Research Associate (RA): The post is temporary with a maximum tenure of 2 years.

• Candidates meeting the qualifications should submit their applications in a single scanned PDF to hrd.itr@gov.in. The application form (available at www.drdo.gov.in) must be typewritten, signed, and scanned. Handwritten applications will not be accepted.
