About Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare

The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare  is an important branch of the Government of India, responsible for formulating and administering laws, rules, and regulations related to agriculture in the country. The ministry’s scope includes three broad areas: agriculture, food processing, and cooperation. It is currently headed by Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, with Kailash Choudhary and Shobha Karandlaje serving as Ministers of State. The longest-serving Minister of Agriculture was Sharad Pawar, who held the position from 22 May 2004 to 26 May 2014.

• The candidate should have completed 10th from any recognized board or university.
