In its latest recruitment notification, the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has announced 760 vacancies for Junior Assistant positions.

Delhi Jal Board (DJB) Recruitment 2024 Educational Qualification

Essential qualifications for the Junior Assistant position at Delhi Jal Board include:

(I) Completion of 12th Class or equivalent from a recognized Board.
(II) Typing speed of 35 words per minute (w.p.m.) in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on a computer. (Equivalent to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on average for 5 key depressions per word).

Note: Qualifications may be relaxed at the discretion of the Competent Authority for well-qualified candidates.

Delhi Jal Board (DJB) Recruitment 2024 Age Limit

The age criteria for the Junior Assistant position at Delhi Jal Board are as follows:

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 25 years
• The upper age limit may be relaxed for departmental candidates up to 40 years, as per Central Government instructions.
• The crucial date for determining the age limit will be as advertised by DSSSB/Competent Authority.

Delhi Jal Board (DJB) Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

(i) 85% of the vacancies will be filled through direct recruitment.
(ii) 10% of the vacancies will be filled from among Group C Staff in Pay Level-I, who possess a 12th Class pass or equivalent qualification and have rendered 3 years of regular service in the grade. The maximum age limit for eligibility for the examination is 45 years (50 years for SC/ST). If more employees qualify than the number of vacancies available under Clause (ii), the excess number of employees will be considered for filling vacancies in subsequent years.
(iii) 5% of the vacancies will be filled by promotion on a seniority-cum-fitness basis from Group C employees working in Level-I of the Pay Matrix with 3 years of regular service in the Grade.

• Two Years for direct recruits

Note: Direct recruits would be required to complete a mandatory training of at least two weeks duration as prescribed by the Competent Authority for completion of probation.
