CEL Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

General Criteria

1. Age Limit:
   • Junior Technical Assistant/Technician ‘B’: Maximum 25 years (as of 31st October 2024).
   • Relaxation: SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PwBD: 10-15 years (category-wise relaxation).
2. Educational Qualifications:
   • Junior Technical Assistant:
     • Diploma (3 years) or B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering.
     • Relevant post-qualification experience:
       • First Class: 1 year
       • Second Class: 3 years.
   • Technician ‘B’:
     • SSC or equivalent + ITI in relevant trade.
     • Minimum 1-year post-qualification experience required.

CEL Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

1. Written Examination:
   • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT) or Paper-Based Test.
   • Format: Objective Type (MCQs).
   • Sections:
     • Technical/Subject Knowledge: 60 questions.
     • General Aptitude: 40 questions (English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness).
   • Duration: 2 hours.
   • Marking Scheme:
     • Correct Answer: +1 mark.
     • Incorrect Answer: -0.25 marks.
2. Trade Test/Practical Examination:
   • Shortlisted candidates (10x the number of vacancies) will appear for the trade test.
   • Passing Marks:
     • UR/EWS/OBC: 40%.
     • SC/ST: 35% (against reserved posts).
3. Final Selection:
   • Weightage:
     • Written Exam: 60%.
     • Trade Test: 40%.
   • Tie-Breaker: Higher age, followed by marks in Part I (Technical).
