  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering(Civil/Electrical/Textile) or Technology or equivalent with not less than sixty percent marks in aggregate [fifty percent for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes]
  • Having a valid GATE score of 2021/2022/2023. The GATE score must be valid as of 03.11.2023
Agriculture Science
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture and Master’s Degree with not less than sixty percent marks in aggregate [fifty percent for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes]
  • Having valid ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF(Ph.D) – 2023 examination Scorecard in any of the below sub-disciplines

  • The maximum age limit for the eligibility of the candidates is 30 years on the closing date of application. as on 03.11.2023.

BIS Scientist Selection Process

The selection process includes a Personal Interview.

Note:

  • Short-listing of candidates for Personal Interview will be done in order of merit of valid GATE Scores or ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF(Ph.D)-2023 scores
  • Only the shortlisted candidates will be called for Personal Interview
  • The date, time, and venue of the interview will be intimated by e-mail
  • The final Selection will be determined by the aggregate marks obtained by giving (85%) weightage to the GATE Score
  • or ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF(Ph.D) – 2023 Marks and (15%) weightage to the marks obtained in the interview
