The 6th meeting of the India-Saudi Arabia Joint Committee on Defence Cooperation took place in Riyadh in September 2024.
The Indian delegation was led by Joint Secretary Amitabh Prasad, and the Saudi Arabian delegation was led by Major General Salman Bin Awadh Al-Harbi.
The meeting focused on expanding bilateral cooperation in military, training, defence industry, research, and development.
The Joint Committee was established during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Saudi Arabia in October 2019.
It is one of four Joint Working Groups under the India-Saudi Arabia Strategic Partnership Council.
India and Malaysia recently signed an MoU to enhance tourism cooperation.
The MoU was signed by Indian Minister for Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Malaysian Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture Y B Dato Sri Tiong King Sing.
Around 2.5 lakh Malaysian tourists visited India in 2022.

Ancy Sojan, an Indian Navy athlete and Asian Games silver medallist, won the gold medal in the women’s long jump event at the National Open Athletics Championship in Bengaluru.
Ancy achieved a personal best jump of 6.71 meters to secure the gold medal.

Earlier in 2023, Ancy won the silver medal in the women’s long jump at the Hangzhou Asian Games with a jump of 6.63 meters.
