The Union Cabinet approved the development of the National Maritime Heritage Complex at Lothal, Gujarat, on 9 October 2024.

The complex is being designed as an international tourist destination.
The Gujarat state government is collaborating on the project.

The complex is being built on approximately 400 acres in Bhavnagar district, Gujarat.
The total cost of the project is around Rs 4500 crore.
