Football at the 1924 Summer Olympics was the sixth edition of the football tournament at the 1924 Summer Olympics held in Paris.

SAIL-Bhilai plans Chhattisgarh’s inaugural 15-MW floating solar project in the Maroda-1 reservoir aimed at reducing carbon emissions and promoting renewable energy.

The Indian Navy’s Eastern fleet operation deployment to the Southeast nations of Vietnam and Malaysia has concluded.
The deployment of Indian naval ships in this region is part of the government of India’s Act East and SAGAR (Security and Growth for All) policies.
On 12 May 2024, the INS Kiltan of the visited the Eastern Fleet docked at Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam. The Vietnam People’s Navy and the Indian Embassy welcomed it.
The Indian Ships also participated in a Maritime Partnership Exercise (MPX)/ PASSEX at sea with ships of the Royal Malaysian Navy.
The PASSEX exercise will strengthen the degree of interoperability between the two Navies.

Kami Rita of Nepal has broken his own world record by climbing Mount Everest 29 times. This is the 29th time in the last 30 years that he has climbed the world’s highest mountain.
According to the Mingma Sherpa of the Seven Summits Treks, Kami Rita reached its peak on 12 May 2004.
He is popularly known as the Everest Man.
In Tibet, Mount Everest is known as Chomolungma which means“Goddess Mother of the World” or “Goddess of the Valley”. It is known as Sagarmatha in Nepal.
In 1852, the Surveyor of India, under the leadership of Sir George Everest, accurately measured the height of the peak.
The mountain peak was named Peak XV and it was renamed Mount Everest in 1865 in honour of Sir George Everest.
