He also launched the master plan of the Gandhi Ashram Memorial.

The Kochrab Ashram was the first ashram in India organized by Mohandas Gandhi, the leader of the Indian independence movement, and was given to him by his friend, the barrister Jivanlal Desai.
Founded on 25 May 1915, Gandhi’s Kochrab Ashram was located near the city of Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat.
On 20 July 1915 Gandhi and his followers formally took over this building.

Bhajan Lal Bishnoi is Haryana’s longest-serving chief minister.

Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has won the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award after scoring brilliant runs against England.
The ICC Women’s Player of the Month award for the month of February was given to Australia’s Annabel Sutherland.
At the tender age of 22 years and 49 days, Jaiswal became the third-youngest batter in the world to record two double centuries in Tests.
In the women’s category, Annabel Sutherland of Australia claimed the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award for February 2024.

President Draupadi Murmu A S Rajiv has been appointed as Vigilance Commissioner in the Central Vigilance Commission.
An S Rajeev is a senior banker with over 38 years of experience in four major banks – Syndicate Bank, Indian Bank, Vijaya Bank, and Bank of Maharashtra.
The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) is the main agency for preventing corruption in the Central government.
It was established in 1964 by an executive resolution of the Central government under the recommendation of the Santhanam Committee on Prevention of Corruption (1962-64).
Thus, originally the CVC was neither a constitutional body nor a statutory body.
The CVC is a multi-member body consisting of a Central Vigilance Commissioner (chairperson) and not more than two vigilance commissioners.
They are appointed by the president by warrant under his hand and seal.
It is on the recommendation of a three-member committee consisting of the Prime minister as its head, the Union minister of home affairs, and the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
They hold office for a term of four years or until they attain the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was born on 23 January 1897 in Cuttack, Orissa and he died on 18 August 1945, in a hospital in Taiwan after suffering from burn injuries sustained in a plane crash.

The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) recently conducted the first successful flight test of the indigenously developed Agni-5 missile with Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicles (MIRV).
Agni-5 missile is an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) with a range of 5,500 to 5,800 kilometers.
Agni-V is a solid-fueled intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) of India.
It will greatly expand India’s reach to strike targets more than 5,500 km away.
Agni-V ICBM has been designed with the addition of a third composite stage to the two-stage Agni-III missile.
To reduce the weight it is built with high composite content.

Justice Singh was appointed as Lokayukta under Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta and Up-Lokayukta Adhiniyam 1981
He is the successor of Justice Naresh Kumar Gupta whose tenure ended on October 17 last year.
Appointment of the Lokayukta is facilitated with the consent of the Leader of the Opposition and the Chief Justice of the High Court as per the Lokayukta Act.
The Lokpal Bill was passed under Article 252 of the constitution of India.
Lokayukta is tasked with speedy redressal of public grievances against politicians and officers in the government service.
The Lokayukta is appointed by the Governor of the State, through nomination by its Chief Minister.

65th Amendment Act, 1990:
It amended Article 338 of the Constitution and replaced the one-member system with a multi-member National Commission for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes(ST).
89th Amendment Act, 2003:
Article 338 was amended, and the erstwhile National Commission for SC and ST was replaced by two separate Commissions from the year 2004 which were:
National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) and
National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST)
