India finished on top of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Junior in Suhl, Germany, with an overhaul haul of 15 medals, including six gold, six silver, and three bronze medals.
A total of 39 Indian shooters, including world championships medallists Simranpreet Kaur Brar and Dhanush Srikanth, competed at the ISSF Junior World Cup 2023.
Overall, 511 junior shooters from 46 different countries took part in the championships that started on June 1 and concluded on June 9.
The ISSF Junior World Cup, meant for under-21 shooters, featured events in pistol, rifle, and shotgun disciplines, including individual and team events.
The Suhl meet was the only ISSF World Cup for junior shooters in 2023. The nine-day event will be followed by the Junior World Championships in Changwon, Republic of Korea from July 14 to 25.

On Sunday, the Congress government in Karnataka rolled out its first of the five poll guarantees, the ‘Shakti’ scheme, which offers free travel to women and transgender people in government-run buses in the state.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar and transport minister Ramalinga Reddy launched the scheme and issued smart cards to five beneficiaries at an event on the steps of the Vidhana Soudha in the capital Bengaluru.
The five women were handed replicas of the smart cards that would be issued to women passengers in the next three months.
