EKVI Air Training Organization Pvt Ltd has been granted permission to operate from Salem Airport, marking a significant milestone for aspiring pilots in the region.

India gets its 36th flying training school.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is the regulatory authority responsible for overseeing civil aviation in India.
Its main focus is on ensuring safety in air transport services to, from, and within India.
The DGCA enforces civil air regulations, air safety standards, and airworthiness criteria.

International Malala Day is observed on July 12 each year to honour the bravery and activism of Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani advocate for girls’ education and the youngest person to receive the Nobel Prize.
International Malala Day 2023 will address the 10th anniversary of the Malala Yousafzai event.
This special day was first celebrated in 2013, marking one year since Malala was attacked by the Taliban.

Malala is an inspirational figure who strongly advocates for women’s rights and education.
The theme of fame is prominent in the book “I Am Malala,” highlighting how renowned individuals, like heroes and role models, can either contribute to societal progress or distract from it.

Former Barcelona and Inter Milan midfielder Luis Suarez, the only male footballer born in Spain to win the Ballon D’Or died at 88.
The Spaniard became the first player born in the country to win the Ballon d’Or in 1960 and later coached La Roja at the 1990 World Cup.
“From the RFEF, we want to convey our condolences to all relatives and close friends of Luis Suarez Miramontes,” wrote the Spanish football federation on Twitter.
Suarez was loved in Italy, too, after becoming one of the league’s most celebrated midfielders at Inter Milan under coach Helenio Herrera in the 1960s.

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Uttar Pradesh Government, Dinesh Pratap Singh and Ambassador of India to Russia Pavan Kapoor participated in the inauguration of the Indian Mango Festival ‘Aamrus,’ in Moscow.

In the festival, the “enthusiastic” Russian audience got to enjoy five samples of different varieties of Mangoes from Uttar Pradesh – Dasheri, Langra, Chausa, Amrapali and Mallika.

The third longest railway tunnel in India, the Vizhinjam railway tunnel will adopt the New Austrian Tunnelling Method (NATM) for undertaking the tunnelling works.
The work scheduled to begin in January will take 36 months for the completion of tunnelling work alone plus three months of initial installation work and another 3 months for track lining and commissioning, taking a total of 42 months for the entire work.
The country’s largest 12.75 km long railway tunnel (T-49) is built as part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramula Rail Link (USBRL) project, surpassing the 11.2-km long Pir Panjal Tunnel on the Banihal-Qazigund section. Instead of using the expensive tunnel boring machine (TBM), Vizhinjam International Seaport Limited (VISL) which is implementing the Vizhinjam deep water multipurpose seaport on a PPP basis, adopted the cost-effective NATM method which uses a modern drilling and blasting technique.

This tunnel connects the under-construction Vizhinjam International Seaport.
It is being developed by the Adani Port with the railway mainline at Balaramapuram near Thiruvananthapuram.

The world’s largest International Temple Convention and Expo (ITCX) will be organized from 22 to 24 July 2023 at the Rudraksha Convention Center in Varanasi. Conceived by Temple Connect (India), it is the world’s first event solely dedicated to the management of temples.
The conference will focus on nurturing and empowering the world and temple ecosystem’s governance, management and operations. Conference Participation.

• The event will be held at Rudraksh Convention Centre.

France will join Britain in supplying long-range SCALP missiles to Ukraine. Speaking on arrival at a summit of the 31-member NATO alliance in Lithuania, French President Emmanuel Macron said he had decided to boost military aid to Ukraine to help its counteroffensive.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said it would be absurd if NATO leaders gathering for a summit did not offer his country a timeframe for membership after the alliance head said it would send Kyiv a positive message.

India’s top table tennis league Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) tournament is being organized at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Pune from July 13 to 27, 2023.
It is being organized under the aegis of the Table Tennis Federation of India, after a gap of four years.
The event is joined by India’s table tennis player Sharath Kamal. The Ultimate Table Tennis league consists of six teams.
There are 36 players in total with six from each team – four Indian players and two International players.

India’s Nishad Kumar has clinched a silver medal in the ongoing Para Athletics World Championships 2023 in Paris. Nishad bagged this medal in the High Jump T47 Event.
With this win, Nishad became the second athlete to grab a medal at this event.

The top-four ranked athletes at the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships in each individual medal event qualify for the 2024 Paralympic Games, also to be held in Paris.

The foundation stone of the state-of-the-art ‘Literacy Museum’ that will trace the journey of literacy in the country from ancient times to the present day was laid on Wednesday at the Literacy House on Kanpur Road.
With a budget of Rs 10 crore that will be jointly borne by the Centre and the India Literacy Board, the museum is expected to be completed in 18 months.
“This museum stands not only as a testament to the importance of literacy but also as a tribute to its founder Dr (Mrs) Welthy Fisher, an American citizen who was deeply influenced by Mahatma Gandhi and on his insistence launched a crusade against illiteracy in India.
