NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC, has commissioned its first Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic Project at IIT Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
The one MW Grid-connected Solar Project has been implemented by NVVN under the RESCO model, with a Power Purchase Agreement duration of 25 years.

The Nehru Centre in London, the cultural wing of the Indian High Commission, won the UK-India Award for Significant Contribution to UK-India Relations.
The awards were selected from a shortlist by a jury of industry experts and marked the penultimate event of the six-day UK-India Week, which included a special reception hosted by British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at 10 Downing Street during which he committed to working towards a “truly ambitious” free trade agreement (FTA) with India.

Goa Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte on Wednesday launched a three-day state-level ‘Chikhal Kalo’ (Mud Festival) festival at Marcel in North Goa.

This unique festival has become so famous that many people across Goa visit here to witness it.

Fantasy sports platform Dream11 is set to bag the BCCI lead sponsor rights for Rs 358 crore, which was the base price, by replacing Byju’s, said a report on Friday.

InterGlobe Aviation Ltd, which operates budget carrier Indigo, has become India’s leading airline to cross ₹1 trillion in market capitalization (Mcap) on June 28.
The stock hit a 52-week high of ₹2,634.25 on the BSE earlier in the session today, with a market value of ₹1.01 trillion.
Shares of IndiGo settled 3.55 per cent higher at ₹2,619.85 apiece on the BSE, compared to the previous close of ₹2,529.95.
InterGlobe Aviation Limited, doing business as IndiGo, is an Indian low-cost airline headquartered in Gurgaon, Haryana, India.

Rohit Jawa took charge as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of FMCG major Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL).

Payments giant Visa Inc announced that it would acquire Brazilian payments infrastructure platform Pismo to expand its footprint in Latin America for $1 billion in cash in what is likely one of the largest fintech M&A deals this year, subject to regulatory approvals. Sao Paulo-based Pismo would be under the same management team after the acquisition.

The company said the acquisition would provide support and connectivity for emerging payment rails for financial institution clients and core banking and issuer processing capabilities across debit, prepaid, credit and commercial cards via cloud-native APIs.

Visa bought the European open banking platform Tink in March 2022 for $2.2 billion and British cross-border payments provider Currencycloud in December 2021 for close to a billion dollars.
