This has paved the way for its inclusion in the army’s arsenal.
The MPATGM weapon system has been designed and developed by the DRDO.
DRDO is the defence research and development wing of the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Its aim is to empower India with cutting-edge defence technologies.
It has made major contribution in self-reliance and successful indigenous development and creation of strategic systems and state-of-the-art strategic platforms.

Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, also known as Babasaheb Ambedkar, is widely recognized as the visionary who drafted the Indian Constitution.
He served as India’s first Law Minister in the Cabinet of Jawaharlal Nehru.
In 1990, Dr Ambedkar was posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna, which is India’s highest civilian honour.
His birthday is celebrated every year as Ambedkar Jayanti, honoring his legacy and contributions to Indian society.

According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva has been re-appointed as the Managing Director (MD) of the IMF for a new 5 year term.
Kristalina Georgieva’s new term will start on 1 October 2024.
In 2004, the IMF adopted a policy of appointing a Managing Director through consensus.
This year, Kristalina Georgieva was the only candidate nominated for the post.
Kristalina Georgieva is from Bulgaria and was appointed as the MD of the IMF in 2019 for a five-year term.
She has also been Chief Executive Officer of the World Bank.
She also served as the Interim President of the World Bank Group.

India and the US plan to restart the Indian Ocean Observing System (IndOOS), a network of 36 buoys stationed in the high seas.
These buoys will collect detailed data on ocean and atmospheric conditions to help improve weather forecasts.
The IndOOS array of buoys, which is a crucial source of weather data, was neglected and fell into disrepair during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This resulted in a lack of observational data, which is essential for weather forecasters. This is especially important since the Indian Ocean Dipole phenomenon is connected to the monsoon.

Bayern Munich has won 11 consecutive Bundesliga titles since 2012-13 -2022-23.

Bayern Leverkusen has also qualified for the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League.

Longte, one of the biggest festivals of the Nyishi tribe, began with lots of fanfare and enthusiasm among the people in different parts of the state.
The Longte festival is a unique tribal festival celebrated by the Nyishi tribe in Arunachal Pradesh.
Unlike other festivals, it does not involve the sacrifice of animals.
Therefore, it is the only festival that prohibits the killing of animals during or after the festival.
Instead, the Altar is adorned with decorative white feathers of domestic fowl and bamboo decorated flowers to mark the occasion.

Indonesian Badminton player Jonatan Christie won his first Asian Badminton Championship by defeating the Chinese player Li Shi Feng in the final of the 2024 Badminton Asia Championships on 14 April 2024.
The 41st Badminton Asia Championships was held in the coastal city of Ningbo, located in the Zhejiang province of China, from 9-14 April.
The Badminton Asia Championships is a BWF Super 1000 event.
It means that the winner of the event in both singles,doubles earns 1000 points.
It was also the last qualifying event before the Summer Paris Olympic to be held from 26 July to 11 August 2024.

Russia’s Angara-A5 rocket, successfully launched from the Vostochny Cosmodrome, placing a test load into low orbit.
After two failed attempts due to a pressurizing system malfunction and an engine launch-control issue, the third launch attempt proved successful.
