CSIR – Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CMERI) is recruiting 16 Junior Secretariat Assistants. Candidates must have passed the 12th (XII). CMERI Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:
  • 10+2/XII or equivalent qualification.
  • Proficiency in computer typing speed @ 35 w.p.m. in English or @ 30 w.p.m. in Hindi.
  • Computer usage skills as per norms fixed by DOPT/CSIR.
• Upper Age Limit: 28 years
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 years | OBC: 3 years
  • Widows/Divorced Women: Up to 35 years
  • PwBD: 10 years (Unreserved), 13 years (OBC), 15 years (SC/ST)
  • Ex-Servicemen: 3 years

The selection will be based on a Written Examination and Proficiency Test (Computer Typing Test).

Paper – I (90 minutes – Qualifying in Nature)

Paper – II (60 minutes – Merit-Based)

Proficiency in Computer Typing

• Candidates must choose the Typing Test language (English or Hindi) during the online application.
• Typing Speed Requirements:
  • English: 35 w.p.m.
  • Hindi: 30 w.p.m.
  • (Equivalent to 10500 KDPH / 9000 KDPH with 5 key depressions per word)
