- Computer Science:
- Essential Qualification: First-class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science / Computer Science & Information Technology / Information Engineering / Information Technology or any other relevant field.
- Corresponding GATE paper: Computer Science and Information Technology (GATE Paper Code: CS).

Selection Procedures for NTRO Recruitment 2024
- Shortlisting:
- Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on their valid GATE Score in the respective subject/field.
- The shortlisting ratio will be 1:25 (i.e., 25 candidates for every vacancy), contingent on having a sufficient number of eligible registered candidates.
- Stage-I (Written Examination):
- Shortlisted candidates will take a written examination.
- Minimum qualifying marks are 50% for Unreserved candidates and 40% for Reserved candidates.
- Stage II (Interview):
- Candidates shortlisted from the written exam will be called for an interview in a 1:4 ratio (number of vacancies: number of candidates).
- Minimum qualifying marks for the interview are 50% for Unreserved candidates and 40% for Reserved candidates.
- Final Selection Criteria:
- The final selection will be based on:
- GATE Score (50% weightage)
- Marks in Stage-I (Written Exam) (30% weightage)
- Marks in Stage II (Interview) (20% weightage)
